Maica srl nasce a Mallare, in provincia di Savona. Per quasi un secolo si specializza nella lavorazione del legno realizzando imballaggi per la frutta, pali, e doghe per botti. Con il boom economico degli anni 50 e l’evoluzione del mercato verso il trasporto di merci in Italia e all’estero, si specializza nella produzione di pallet.
Founded in Mallare, in the province of Savona, Maica s.r.l. grew to become an industry leader in wooden fruit packaging, poles and barrel staves. Almost a century later, in support of the 1950s economic boom and wider movement of goods within Italy and abroad, we began to specialise in the production of high quality pallets, bringing even greater efficiency to the fast growing logistics industry.
Each stage of the manufacturing process, from purchase order to pallet storage, is followed by a team of experienced staff who certify and check each step, delivering high quality pallets that meet your individual requirements.
At this stage, we study your requirements, prepare a clear and detailed quotation and order the timber that will be used to make your pallets.
The timber specified by our technical office and selected by our trusted suppliers is delivered to our yard near Savona.
At our facility, we use only timber, nails and coatings that meet certified technical and quality requirements. At this stage, every material is classified and checked by our team of experts.
Between inward quality control and processing, all timber is stored in special areas.
Pallets are assembled using our 3 automatic nailing lines, supported by manual nailing as required, and a pallet repair department.
After assembly and nailing, all pallets experience their first step towards product qualification and certification.
Pallets then receive specific treatments agreed with the customer: painting, drying, heat and Fitok treatments.
Finished pallets then undergo a second phase of inspection and certification of quality standards.
Finally, before dispatch, the pallets are stored in special areas and tested for load bearing capacity.
